FINAL TASK: Visual thinking of the Human Reproduction Process

(ASSESSMENT ACTIVITY)

Now you must be ready to summarize and explain the Reproduction Process in Humans using images (VISUAL THINKING). Here you have some directions and tips to do it:

1.   Use your Mind Map. It is an element of how your ideas about what you need to express are organized.

2.   Organize the space, YOU CAN USE ONLY ONE PAGE to do it. You can start making a draft or using the diagrams you drew in previous days.

3.  Use simple drawings, labels (with keywords and numbers), colours, and arrows (to explain how things happen).

4.  You can use all the materials you consider necessary.

5.  Do it on your own (try to avoid asking for help from the adults).
6. Do not worry about your drawing abilities, just about how to present clearer ideas.

When you finish take a picture and upload it to our Google Classroom until the 4^th of May (at 24:00h).

TAREA FINAL: Diagrama “Visual Thinking” sobre el Proceso de Reproducción en Humanos. (ACTIVIDAD EVALUABLE)

Ahora que debes estar preparado/a para resumir y explicar el Proceso de Reproducción en Humanos usando imágenes (VISUAL THINKING). Aquí tienes algunas instrucciones y trucos para hacerlo:

1.   Usa tu Mapa Mental. Es un elemento de cómo están organizadas las ideas de lo que tienes que expresar en tu cabeza.

2.   Organiza bien el espacio, SOLO PUEDES UTILIZAR UNA PÁGINA. Comienza con un borrador o los dibujos que ya tienes hechos de los días anteriores.

3.  Utiliza dibujos simples, etiquetas (con palabras clave, títulos, números,…), colores y flechas (para explicar cómo ocurren las cosas).

4.  Para ayudarte puedes utilizar todo el material que consideres necesario.

5.  Hazlo solo (en lo posible evita pedir ayuda los adultos).
6. No te preocupes por tus habilidades como dibujante, solo de presentar tus ideas de forma clarita.

Cuando lo termines haz una foto y súbela a nuestra Google Classroom hasta el lunes 4 de mayo a las 12 de la noche.

NOTA IMPORTANTE: El próximo lunes la actividad consistirá en revisar, corregir y poner en orden todas las actividades realizadas para preparar un test que se realizará el miércoles 6 de mayo.

Revision: MIND MAP of Human Reproduction System 
(ASSESSMENT ACTIVITY)

Now it is time to revise and put in order all that we have learned in the last weeks. Make your own Mind Map on Human Reproduction. Here you have some ideas you may need to take into account:

a)  The Sexual Characteristics, system, organs, and secondary characteristics for males and females.

b)  Stages of the process: fertilisation, pregnancy, and birth.

c)  Other related facts: menstrual cycle, puberty, belly button, etc.

Remember the characteristics of a good min map by having a look at:

• ·       the Rubrics for Mind Maps.
• ·       some examples of good mind maps,
• ·       your Word List (do not use sentences, only keywords).

Revisión: Mapa Mental de la Reproducción Humana
(ACTIVIDAD EVALUABLE)

Ahora es el momento de repasar y poner en orden todo lo que hemos aprendido en las últimas semanas. Realiza tu propio Mapa Mental sobre la Reproducción Humana. Aquí tienes algunas ideas que puedes tener en cuenta:

    a)  Las características sexuales: aparatos, órganos y caracteres sexuales secundarios de hombres y mujeres.
    b)  Fases del proceso: fertilización, embarazo y nacimiento.
    c)  Otros hechos relacionados: ciclo menstrual, pubertad, ombligo, etc.


   Recuerda las características que debe tener un buen mapa mental echando un vistazo a :

• ·       La rúbrica para Mapas Mentales
• ·       Algunos buenos ejemplos de mapas mentales
• ·       Tu Word List (no utilices frases, solo palabras clave).

Cuando lo termines, haz una foto y súbelo a nuestra Google Classroom.

Childbirth (Last stage of reproduction)

We are almost ending this unit. Now we are studying how the babies are born. Go to page 45 of your Text Book, read and listen to is to know how this happens. This process is also called labour.

1. a)  Read the three boxes of the page in order
2. b)  Copy the boxes and make a drawing of what happens in every box.
3. c)  Copy and answer the questions of exercise 1 on this page.

EXTRA: Read the Science Facts box, watch the video about the belly button and umbilical cord and answer the question: Why have you got your belly button?

Casi estamos acabando este tema. Ahora estudiaremos cómo nacen los niños, así que ve a la página 45 de tu libro de texto, lee y escúchala para saber cómo esto ocurre. Este proceso se llama parto.

1. a)  Lee los tres cuadros de la página en orden.
2. b)  Copia los cuadros y haz un dibujo de lo que ocurre en cada uno.
3. c)  Copia y responde las preguntas del ejercicio 1 de la página

EXTRA: Lee el cuadro de Science Facts, ve el vídeo sobre el ombligo y la placenta y responde a la pregunta: ¿Por qué tienes un ombligo?
